Okehocking Preserve is a 180-acre preserve providing passive recreation and over 5 miles of mown and wooded trails. The Presere is the location of the Okehocking Nature Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization that leases the farmhouse and conducts programming at the Preserve. Click here for more information.
The development of future active recreation such as ball fields is permitted in the powwow field at the corner of Garrett Mill Road and Route 3. Okehocking Preserve was purchased through funding from the Willistown Township Open Space Fund, the Chester County Preservation Partnership and Municipal Grant Programs and the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Community Conservation Partnership Program. The Willistown Conservation Trust assisted the township in grant writing for the acquisition of a portion of this property. The Willistown Conservation Trust owns the stone barn and 4.4 acres around it. The Township owns the remaining 180 acres of the property.
In the parking lots on the west side of Delchester Road north of Route 3, and on the North side of Route 3 between Delchester Road and Garrett Mill Road.
