Willistown's Sugartown Exploration Garden is a community effort made possible by Willistown Township and local resident volunteers, and Historic Sugartown. It is an outstanding example of what a community, when gathered together, can accomplish - while having a ball!
The Sugartown Exploration Garden Team is made up of volunteer Willistown residents who have a love of and keen interest in children, nature and whimsy. Smaller break out teams take on curriculum, garden design and installation, and events. If you are interested in joining the party, please contact Willistown Parks and Recreation at 610-640-1669 or email. The steering team members bring project management, education, gardening experience, herbology, art, landscape design, event planning, creativity and enthusiasm to the Garden and its programs. Without this team there would be no Garden or Garden programming!
We are very grateful to Historic Sugartownfor their programming partnership and for sharing their beautiful grounds with us!
Our special thanks go to Greener Partners for partnering with Willistown Township to build the garden.
Many other hands help to make sure Sugartown Exploration Garden is a special place!
Many thanks to the following Willistown businesses: Main Line Turf Company (610-296-0233) for donating much needed labor and Sam Brown's Nursery (wholesale to the trade only) for donating trees. Thanks to Cub Pack 98, under Willistown resident Andy Schenk's leadership, for planting the trees!
It's for the bees! We are proud to partner with Hivesforlives.com
